Yasmin AlBazzaz, Partner, advises public sector and association clients on transportation, appropriations, defense, education, environmental, and infrastructure matters. Drawing on extensive experience in federal policy and congressional affairs, she helps clients advance legislative, regulatory, funding, and advocacy objectives before Congress and federal agencies.

Beyond her client work, Ms. AlBazzaz plays a leadership role in the firm's management and growth, overseeing strategic planning initiatives, proposal development, business operations, and charitable and political engagement initiatives.

Before joining Alcalde & Fay in 2013, Ms. AlBazzaz worked for Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA) and Congressman Alan Grayson (D-FL). She also held positions with Ashoka and the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, where she contributed to policy development, program implementation, and public-service initiatives.

A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Ms. AlBazzaz holds a dual B.A. in Economics and Sociology from the University of Virginia and a Master of Policy Management from Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. She is fluent in French and serves on the Alumni Leadership Council of her high school alma mater, Washington International School.
