Anne M. Cullather


Anne Cullather, Partner, offers Alcalde & Fay clients 37 years of experience in business, public policy and advocacy. She currently supports the firm’s clients on a range of issues, including transportation, water resources, energy, environment and telecommunications.  Ms. Cullather also serves as the Director of the Alcalde & Fay Grant Consulting Division, providing assistance to clients across the country as they pursue federal, state and foundation grants that support their priority initiatives. In this capacity, she has helped to procure grants in excess of $46 million for firm clients.


Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cullather worked as an executive in the telecommunications industry, where she led state and federal government relations initiatives, working with both Federal and state legislative bodies and executive agencies. Her career in telecommunications also included directing domestic and international carrier relations, negotiating contracts, implementing the Telecommunications Act of 1996.


Prior to her career in telecommunications, Ms. Cullather served as Director of Congressional Affairs for a nationwide trade association, focusing primarily on education appropriations. She subsequently joined a lobbying firm where she represented colleges and universities. Ms. Cullather started her government relations career on Capitol Hill, where she served as a legislative assistant for a senior Congressman from Connecticut.
