Jennifer Katz, Associate, works on behalf of many of Alcalde & Fay’s municipal and education clients on a broad range of issues including energy, appropriations, public safety, transportation, and infrastructure.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Katz worked on a grassroots environmental campaign, conducting legislative and media outreach on climate change and marine conservation issues. She brings to the firm a wealth of legislative experience, having served in the office of then Democratic Whip, Congressman Steny Hoyer of Maryland, focusing on environmental, education, and labor policy. Ms. Katz also has extensive political campaigning experience, having played a key role in Maryland Delegate Robert Zirkin’s re-election campaign, where she coordinated local campaign events and provided strategic guidance to the campaign.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Katz holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she majored in Government and Politics, as well as Spanish Language and Literature.
