CHARLOTTE HRNCIR
Charlotte Hrncir, Senior Associate, has worked in government and intergovernmental relations since 1987.
Prior to joining Alcalde & Fay, Ms. Hrncir handled congressional and intergovernmental relations for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Previously, she was a political appointee at the Department of Transportation (DOT) where she served as a Director of Inter-governmental Affairs at NHTSA. Included among her responsibilities at DOT was working on the Transportation Equity Act for the Twenty-first Century (TEA-21) and the Transportation Recall, Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) Act.
Her government service also includes Director of Congressional and Public Affairs at the National Indian Gaming Commission and Deputy Associate Administrator of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the General Services Administration.
Prior to her work in the executive branch, Ms. Hrncir served on Capitol Hill in the office of Congressman Martin Frost of Texas.
Before relocating to Washington, Ms. Hrncir spent a number of years working on cable television issues with cities and counties throughout the United States.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Hrncir holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
