Suzanne Eisold, Partner, is a 22-year veteran of Capitol Hill who offers Alcalde & Fay clients an in-depth knowledge of legislative branch operations with a special expertise in the appropriations process.
Prior to joining Alcalde & Fay, Ms. Eisold served as Chief of Staff for a U.S. Congressman from New Mexico for over 22 years. She successfully guided the Congressman's legislative agenda when he was a member of the House Authorizing Committees on Agriculture and on Science and Technology and subsequently as a Cardinal of the House Appropriations Committee.
During her tenure on Capitol Hill, Ms. Eisold worked closely with other members of Congress and numerous committee and congressional staff members in support of the Congressman's legislative agenda. Her insight into legislative issues and processes, knowledge of district priorities, and ability to facilitate and encourage teamwork resulted in the implementation of numerous legislative initiatives.
As chief advisor to the Congressman in his capacity as Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee on Agriculture and subsequently as Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee on Interior, Ms. Eisold's insights and expertise were sought on numerous issues including national security, education, health care, border management and security, energy, law enforcement, and economic development.
Ms. Eisold also served as the Chief Political Advisor. Through her leadership and superior campaign management skills, Ms. Eisold managed the Congressman's first campaign for Congress, an historic victory as it was only the third time a person has been elected to the U.S. Congress as a write-in candidate.
Prior to joining the Congressman's staff, Ms. Eisold worked in two gubernatorial elections and at the Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
